Diaphragms of elastic rubber materials are used wherever areas with different pressures and/or different media have to be separated from each other by a flexible wall. Driven mechanically or in reaction to pressure differences, they carry out a certain movement. The movability of the diaphragm is determined by the material used and the shape of the diaphragm.

Various materials with and without fabric reinforcement and inserts of metal or plastic are available depending on the conditions of application. Diaphragms come in very different shapes to fit the wide range of possible applications. This brochure can only show a few typical examples.
